Christopher D. Vanderbeek is an associate at Boggs, Avellino, Lach & Boggs, L.L.C. He received
his Bachelor of Journalism in Broadcasting with an Emphasis in Media Management from the University
of Missouri in 2005 and his J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law in 2009. While in law
school, Mr. Vanderbeek spent two years as a member of the Journal of Dispute Resolution, earning
the John D. Burriss Prize for Outstanding Overall Contribution for his work as Associate Managing
Editor in 2008-09.
Mr. Vanderbeek is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois. Currently, he concentrates his practice in insurance defense.
Mr. Vanderbeek has had two scholarly articles published: the first, regarding the
arbitrability of decedent-employee wrongful death claims, was published in the Fall 2008 edition
of the Journal of Dispute Resolution; the second, regarding the viability of visitation between
separated biological siblings, was published in the Summer 2009 edition UC-Davis Journal of Juvenile
Law & Policy.
