Vincent H. Venker passed away in 2008. Prior to his passing he had been a partner at Boggs, Avellino, Lach & Boggs. He received his Juris Doctor from St. Louis University School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Journal, a member of the Law School Student Government and the Vice-Magister of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. Mr. Venker also studied international law at the University of Exeter in Exeter, England. Mr. Venker received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio, and was an alumnus of St. Louis University High School in St. Louis Missouri.

Mr. Venker concentrated his practice for more than 20 years in tort and commercial litigation. His extensive legal practice included the handling of a wide variety of litigation including product liability, asbestos claims, chemical and petro-chemical exposures, environmental chemical claims, aviation claims, pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical devices, food liability, toxic torts, general torts and negligence, premises liability, railroad, insurance defense, insurance coverage, contracts, employment law, non-competititon agreements, and general business advice and consultation. Mr. Venker's practice was primarily devoted to defending personal inury cases and the defense and prosecution of commercial claims in both State and Federal courts of Missouri an Illinois.

At the trial court level, Mr. Venker obtained favorable verdicts for his clients in both jury and non-jury cases. The wide range of cases he handled involved single and multiple parties from the associate jurisdictional level to the circuit and district court levels. Many of these cases involved multimillion-dollar claims. He was successful in obtaining early dismissals, summary judgments and early favorable settlements for his clients through private negotiations and formal alternative dispute resolution programs.

In addition to his trial court experience, Mr. Venker also represented clients in the Federal and State Appellate Courts in Missouri and Illinos, as well as in the Missouri Supreme Court. Some of his Appellate Court cases resulted in new and improved law.

Mr. Venker was AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Venker was admitted to practice law in the State and Federal Courts of Missouri and Illinois, including: the Supreme Court of Missouri; the Supreme Court of Illinois; the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Eastern District; the Illinois Court of Appeals for the Fifth District; the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri, the Western District of Missouri, and the Southern District of Illinois; and, in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in St. Louis and in the Seventh Circuit in Chicago.

Mr. Venker's professional affiliations included the Missouri Bar, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers, where he was a member of the Board of Directors; the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis; the St. Louis County Bar Association; the Lawyers Association of St. Louis; and he was a member of the Volunteer Lawyers Pro-Bono Program of the Legal Services of Eastern Missouri.
