Beth C. Boggs is the managing partner of Boggs, Avellino, Lach & Boggs, L.L.C., which was originally formed in 1999. The firm is the largest certified woman-owned law firm in Missouri. She received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Southern Illinois University School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Journal staff. Ms. Boggs received her Bachelor of Arts from Governors State University in University Park, Illinois. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society.
Ms. Boggs concentrates her practice in tort litigation. She has extensive experience handling a wide variety of litigation, including medical negligence, trucking general negligence, premises liability, mold, construction defect, employment and insurance disputes. Her jury trial experience includes the defense of wrongful death, medical malpractice, automobile negligence, transportation defense, civil rights defense, ERISA, construction defect and premises liability matters.
Ms. Boggs is admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of Missouri, Illinois and the Kansas Federal Court. She is a frequent speaker and author on insurance and legal/medical topics. She served as a vice-chair of the A.B.A. Law and medicine Section and Corporate Counsel Committee. She is currently the editor of the NRRDA Newsletter. She has published articles in the S.I.U. Law Journal, the Illinois Bar Journal, The Journal of the Missouri Bar, The St. Louis Bar Journal, The NRRDA Newsletter, and the ABA Magazine: Coverage.
Ms. Boggs’ professional affiliations include the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers, CLM, The NRRDA, NAMWOLF, the Missouri Bar, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Lawyers Association of St. Louis, the Women Lawyers Association, the St. Clair County Bar Association, The National Association of Insurance Women, Risk & Insurance Management Society and Defense Research Institute. She is profiled in Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World and International Who’s Who of Professionals. She has been recognized as one of the "Outstanding Women of the Twentieth Century." She was recognized by Southern Illinois University as one of its "Most Distinguished Alumni" in 2008. She was recognized as a "Woman of the Year In Law," in 2009. Ms. Boggs was recognized as one of the "Lawyers of the Year" for 2005 by Missouri Lawyers Weekly. She has also been recognized as a Super Lawyer in Illinois. She was recognized as one of St. Louis’ "Top Women Business Owners" in 2005. She has published chapters for two Missouri CLE deskbooks: RIGHTS & REMEDIES and LITIGATION SETTLEMENTS.
She is president and founder of Step It Up, Inc., a local charitable organization, which she founded in 2005.
